Yuchen Tao
Yuchen Tao was born in Chengdu, China. In her hometown she attended the State Music High School.
In 2012 she began her bachelor's degree in viola at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music with Prof. Jensen Horn-Sin Lam, which she successfully completed. In addition, she completed a degree in chamber music. Since 2016, Yuchen Tao studies in master studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Felix Mendelsohn Bartholdy Leipzig with Prof. Tatjana Masurenko and Prof. Frank Reinecke.
Yuchen Tao has been attending numerous master classes since 2014 with Gilad Karni, Lars Anders Tomter, Veronika Hagen, Françoise Gnéri and Martin Outram. She gained her first professional experience as an orchestra musician with the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra and the Shanghai Opera House, the Anhalt Philharmonic in Dessau and the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn.
Since September 2018 she is a scholarship holder of the Dual Orchesterakademie Thuringia.
