Barbara Parker-Kostner, born in Chile, has been playing the violin since she was five years old. She studied at the Universidad Católica de Chile at Rubén Sierra.
In 2011 she moved to Germany to study at the Hochschule für Musik Saar with Lena Neudauer. In July 2016 she graduated with honors from the Conservatory of Music Evaristo Felice Dall'Abaco Verona with Roberto Muttoni. Barbara Parker-Kostner is multiple 1st and 2nd prizewinner at various international soloist and chamber music competitions. She participated in numerous masterclasses such as with Laura Klugherz, Sona Khochafian, Bin Huang, Klara Fiedler-Pantillon, Gwendolyn Masin. Already since 2007 she plays as assistant in various orchestras.
Since September 2018 she is a scholarship holder of the Dual Orchestra Academy Thuringia.
